I decided to give grilled pizza a try tonight. I made some dough from scratch and grilled up a pepperoni pizza on the BBQ. I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. Very good, although not the healthiest of dinners. I was so happy with the result, I think I'm going to do it again soon, but perhaps load up the pie with veggies to try to make it a little better health wise. The rest of my day was pretty good food wise and I did get a 2 mile walk/jog in tonight, so the day wasn't a total write off.
Here's how today broke down:
Breakfast:
- Cereal
- Orange juice
- Coffee
Lunch:
- Smart Ones frozen dinner
- Yogurt cup
- Orange
- Special K bar
- Water
Afternoon snack:
- Apple
- Yogurt cup
Supper:
- Grilled pepperoni pizza (4 small slices)
- Ceasar salad
- Beer
- Diet coke
Evening Snack:
- Water
Workout:
- 2 mile walk/run
Grilled pizza is awesome and can be healthy too!
ReplyDeleteDid you put a stone on it or a ceramic tile? Or did you just put it on the grill grates?
Just through the fresh dough right on the grill... I read a bit about it beforehand (it was my first attempt). After it firms up a bit you can begin to move the dough around... then flip it and put on the toppings. I was really happy with it, but next time I'll try to health it up a bit :-)
