Well, my wife and I ended up baking some cookies tonight. I know, I know... not the greatest idea when trying to lose weight. My plan was to just have one or two, however, I ended up eating 4 (plus a touch of dough as well).
I gotta wonder why I do these things to myself. Over-indulging is what got me to this place and I don't know why I can't control myself sometimes. Wouldn't a typical person just have a cookie or maybe two and then be satisfied? I had to tear myself away from them after 4 (and they're not small cookies). Well, my parents may be here tomorrow, so maybe I can pawn some of them off to them... the sooner they're gone the better (at least diet wise).
Other than that, my food was just OK today and I didn't get a workout in. So today was just a rainy blah day.
Here's how today broke down:
Breakfast:
- Western sandwich (egg, onion & ham
on toast) - X2
- Orange juice
- Coffee
Lunch:
- Turkey chili
- Roll
- Milk
Afternoon snack:
- None
Supper:
- Ceasar chicken pita
- Rotisserie chicken peices (2 wings, 1 thigh & 1 drumstick)
- Milk
Evening Snack:
- Water
- Beer
- Milk
- Chocolate chip cookies (X4)
- Hard candies (X2)
Workout:
- None
4 cookies ain't so bad. Try like 10 lol.
ReplyDeleteEven after losing 90+ lbs if I bake cookies I can't eat just 1 or 2 like a "normal person." I think there are situations and things that will always be difficult for us. It doesn't mean we can't ever have treats again, we just need to figure out a way to manage them. I like to buy single serve things (a choclate bar, ice cream bar, cupcake, etc) when I want a treat because then I can just have 1...rather than trying to dole out single serve portions from a bigger bag/package. That doesn't really work with baking though...maybe you could freeze the dough and just bake what you want to eat at a certain time?
